AAM Membership Rules and Regulations

• All AAM Ordinary Member are only open to private vehicle car owners. Motorcycles and commercial registered vehicles (such as lorry, truck, van, taxi, wagon, etc) are not eligible to apply for AAM Ordinary Membership. AAM reserves the right to refuse towing such commercial vehicles.
  
  
• Renewal notices will be sent to members before expiry date of the membership. If payment due is not received by the membership expiry date, AAM will not render breakdown assistance and other privileges to the members concerned.
  
  Ordinary Member
  In the event that the member fails to renew his/her membership within three (3) months time from the expiry date, he/she will cease to be a member. To reinstate as an ordinary member and to enjoy the bene.ts and services, he/she must pay the entrance and annual fees.
  
  Renewal of AAM membership can be done at any of the AAM offices or members can fax to 03-2162 5358 or just mail to:

  For credit card and charge card holders, you may phone our telemarketing unit to renew your membership at: 03–2162 6915 or 2161 8252 and provide us with your card details and contact number. Members may also email to us at renewal@aam.org.my or log on to www.aam.org.my to view the list of internet banking facility.
  
  
• Transfer of Membership
  AAM membership is strictly non-transferable.
  
  
• Cancellation
  No entrance fee or proportionate part of the annual fee shall be refunded upon cancellation of membership (regardless of reason).
  
  
• Loss of Membership Card
  Application for replacement of membership cards can be made at any of the AAM offices at RM10.00 per card. You may also write in to request for replacement and submit your payment together with requisition.
  
  
• Conversion of AAM Membership
  Conversion of Ordinary membership to Basic membership and vice versa can only be done at the time of renewal. There will be a fee of RM10.00 imposed per conversion.
  
  
• Cooling Off Period
  New applicants and renewal of expired members is subjected to 48 hours cooling off period. During the cooling off period the member shall be entitled to all bene.ts and privileges, except for towing and minor on-the-spot repair service.
