At the moment there are altogether 19 clubs and 2 circuits affiliated with AAM almost representing all the states in the country.

These affiliated clubs organised events that are inscribed and listed in the AAM Motorsports Calendar for that year. The categories of the motorsports events in the calendar are as listed:-

  • Rally - Club, National and International.
  • 4 X 4 Rally - Club, National and International.
  • Circuit Racing ?Cars - Club, National and International
  • Road Racing (Circuits) ?Motorcycles - Club, National and International.
  • Road Racing (Streets) ?Motorcycles - National.
  • Motocross - Club, National and International.
  • Karting - Club, National and International.

Organising of Events

The events organised under National status have to follow rules and regulations of the National Competition Rules of the Automobile Association of Malaysia set by the Motorsports Committee represented by all the affiliated clubs. Whereas for the International events, rules and regulations set by the Governing body of that particular event organised.

The Automobile Association of Malaysia is also the regulatory body to issue Motorsports Organising Permits for all events whether it is of Club, National or International status. As a regulatory body the Association is also responsible in appointing two stewards to ensure that the event is run in accordance to the organising rules and regulation and the National Competition Rules of the AAM.
