COURSE SYNOPSIS
Instructional Goals:
- This course will provide information on defensive driving principles.
- This course will provide the correct vehicle control techniques required to handle a vehicle.
Objectives:
- List relevant crash statistics.
- Identify defensive driving elements.
- Identify SIPDE (Search, Identify, Predict, Decide, Execute) and it's realtionship to the driving task.
- List driving attitudes and behaviors.
- Demonstrate acceptable driving attitudes.
- Identify correct sitting posture.
- Identify correct steering techniques.
- Demonstrate smooth driving and proper observation links.
- Perform braking exercises.
- Perform collision avoidance methods.
- Identify types of skid and prevention.
- Discuss and Perform skid prevention control.
