i-mob VEHICLE SECURITY WITH TOP-NOTCH FEATURES
AUTOMOBILE Association of Malaysia (AAM), Cycle & Carriage Bintang, Maxis and Navi & Map have teamed up to provide vehicle owners maximum safety when it comes to all vehicle-related incidences with the introduction of the latest state-of-the-art vehicle security system called the i-mob.
Under the arrangement, telecommunications company Maxis with its nationwide coverage would provide vehicle owners 24 hours comfort of knowing that their vehicle is safe and parked where they left it.
AAM would be the Emergency Motoring Centre and responsible for providing recovery services. These include automatic collision notification, emergency assistance, car-jacking tracking and assistance, anti-theft alarm notification and stolen vehicle tracking and recovery assistance.

Cycle & Carriage Bintang is involved in the assembly, distribution and sales of vehicle parts and lubricants, and servicing of vehicles. Besides Mercedes-Benz and Smart, the company is also the sole distributor of the i-mob system in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. Navi & Map would provide its enhanced mapping system to enable easy location of vehicles.
The moment the i-mob system detects a situation, the system would call the vehicle owner - day or night even if the owner is in a different continent. In the event of an accident or emergency, its two-way communication feature allows the Emergency Motoring Centre to talk to the occupants of the vehicle providing assurance that help is on the way.
Should a hijack incident take place, the communication feature assures swift assistance without arousing suspicion. The features combined with the tracking and immobilization functions would bring matters to a quick and safe conclusion. |
