Protect and safeguard yourself and loved ones against breakdowns -hours a day by becoming a member of the Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM). Providing reliable, dependable and high quality services to its members over the last 75 years, AAM has firmly established itself as the country’s No. 1 Motoring Friend with approximately 300,000 active members and cardholders throughout the country, divided into ordinary, basic, corporate and fleet memberships. AAM was established in 1932 and acts as the official spokesperson for Malaysian motor vehicle owners, championing their rights to adequate roads and the safe use of these roads.

1. ORDINARY MEMBERSHIP Ordinary Membership is open to motorists with a valid driver’s licence or owns a vehicle, and designed to protect members in the event of vehicle breakdown. In the event of a breakdown, assistance is only provided to members, and the vehicle must be registered with AAM. Members are entitled to register with AAM two ( ) assigned vehicles. Members can also register up to an additional two ( ) more vehicles at RM30.00 each.

Friends or family members who are not AAM members but driving the registered member’s vehicle, are not eligible for breakdown assistance. As a member, you are entitled to a number of privileges that include unlimited towing and minor on-thespot repairs within the Free Breakdown Zone, and a onetime Outside Breakdown Zone claim of up to RM300.00 per car per membership year.

TYPES OF ORDINARY MEMBER

Principal Member
Entitles a member to all privileges under the Ordinary Membership scheme provided by the Association.

Supplementary Cardholder
The Principal Member can nominate their spouse to be the supplementary cardholder.

Children Supplementary Cardholder
The Principal Member can nominate their Children age between 17 to 21 years old with valid driving licence to be the supplementary cardholder.

Driver Supplementary Cardholder
The Principal Member can nominate their driver to be the PEACE OF MIND AROUND THE CLOCK EVERYTIME YOU’RE ON THE ROAD supplementary cardholder.

Life Membership Open only to existing AAM Ordinary members who have been a member continuously for at least 5 years.
Life Supplementary
Cardholders Open to the spouse of life members.

2. BASIC MEMBERSHIP
Basic Membership entitles an individual to seek assistance for only one (1) vehicle that is registered with AAM. Every additional vehicle registered will be charged RM75.00 per annum. Friends and family members who are driving the cardholder’s vehicle that is registered with AAM are also entitled to breakdown assistance so long as they are able to present their AAM membership card at the time of the breakdown. As a member, you are entitled to unlimited towing and minor on-the-spot repairs within the Free Breakdown Zone, and a one-time Outside Breakdown Zone claim of up to RM 00.00 per car per membership year. However, a Basic member shall not be eligible for: • Worldwide recognition - reciprocal service and basic assistance from 133 affiliated Automobile Associations and motoring club in 10 countries. • Voting rights during the Association’s Annual General Meeting.

3. CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP
AAM Corporate Membership is open to Companies or Organisations that are registered in Malaysia. The Companies or Organisations that subscribe their fleet of vehicles under this scheme must have a permanent office address and must be registered in Malaysia. All vehicles must be registered under the company’s ownership. AAM’s Corporate Card is only open to company registered vehicles. Motorcycles and Commercial registered vehicles (such as lorry, truck, van, taxi, wagon etc.) are not eligible to apply for AAM Corporate Card..

  
   
Alert: AAM members are required to display the AAM sticker on their vehicle’s windscreen in order to obtain breakdown assistance. Members who fail to do so may not be assisted. Should you require a new sticker, it is available from our patrolman at RM10.00. It is very important for cardholders to produce their AAM membership card and identification card for verification purposes.
 
   
Note: AAM Ordinary and Basic memberships are only open to private vehicle car owners. Motorcycles and commercial registered vehicles (such as lorry, truck, van, taxi, wagon, etc) are not eligible to apply for AAM Ordinary, Basic and Corporate Memberships. AAM reserves the right to refuse towing such commercial vehicles.  
   

Great Savings: Cardholders who renew their membership for more than one (1) year, are entitled to a special package that extends great savings. Cardholders have the option of paying RM130.00 for a two-year renewal and RM195.00 for a three-year renewal.
