An accident assist programme, postrepair inspection and post-repair warranty are some of the value-added benefits of the all-new AAMJ2U comprehensive motor insurance policy that is being exclusively offered to members of the Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM). The policy is a joint venture between AAM and Jerneh Insurance Berhad. Both parties today signed an agreement to formalize the strategic partnership. The 24-hour nationwide accident assist programme within the AAMJ2U insurance policy has been designed to assist members in their time of difficulty and need. In the event of an accident, members need only to contact a special hotline number (1-800-88-0808) and personnel from the nearest AAM call centre will be immediately dispatched to the scene to assist and provide members with guidance. This is to ensure that members are protected from being bullied by unscrupulous tow-truck and independent workshop operators. AAM currently has a special motorcycle patrol unit for the purpose of dispatching its personnel to the scene of the accident quickly. Upon completion of repairs, vehicles belonging to policy holders will also be subjected to a post-repair inspection by either AAM or Jerneh Insurance surveyors. The accident repairs carried out also come with a 12-month warranty underwritten by the appointed panel workshop. Other privileges extended by the policy include door to door insurance and road tax renewal for policy holders.
